W: Common Criminal with Uncommon Opportunities

George W. Bush is a common criminal, in my opinion.

A common criminal who, by surreptitious, suspicious, clandestine, and serpentine means,
availed himself of uncommon opportunities.

Those who afforded this common criminal his uncommon opportunities should be the targets of
our wrath as self-determining, honorable people.

As others, more authoritative than I, have pointed out: we need to throw these "servants in complicity" out and reclaim our national estate, our country, our "home".

By so doing, we will limit W to the commission of common crimes.....somewhere other than
the Office of Head Servant of the American "manor"(Charles Goyette).

Michael Savage

Hearing yesterday that Charles Goyette, the world's most independent talk show host, was returning to radio on KFNX in Phoenix this coming Monday, I dialed up KFNX to listen to the programming that's there now.

Late in the day, the other "name" talk show host, Michael Savage, out of San Francisco, came on and I listened for the first time in over a year, maybe two.

Now, this will be an interesting contrast in both styles and content and quality of entertainment:

Goyette treats his callers with dignity; Savage demagogues most of his callers, even admirers.
Goyette demonstrates humility; Savage swaggers with arrogance.
Goyette opposes the Iraq War; Savage supports it and criticizes leaders for not going far enough, fast enough, savagely enough.

Goyette opposes fascism; Savage promotes it.

That's if you take Savage at face value. Sometimes I can't tell where Charles really stands on some issues, but I'm not sure of Savage's sincerity on any issue.

He seems to be more about irritation, clowning, burlesquing and hotbutton-triggering, using namecalling, ad hominem argumentation almost exclusively and rambles around, taking the contrarian view of everything except that which smacks of fascism.

I conclude that Charles, who is very clear about his overall, most important positions, is a very sincere person; that Michael is an entertainer who will stoop to any sort of defamation and ludicrous attack to improve his ratings.

People historically tune into Charles to be informed, seriously discuss provocative issues, AND be entertained; Michaels seems to find his audience the way carnival hawkers do -- with the obvious motive of translating notoriety, flash, and hardcore hustle into personal gain.

I didn't learn a thing from my time with Savage, save the depth of his preoccupation with himself and his prejudices; Every time I have listened to Charles Goyette I have learned something of value, something useful in my life and relevant to my activist interests.

Listening to any talk show host is, to a lesser or greater extent, a voyeuristic experience; talk show hosts must, it appears, be exhibitionists and project considerable egos to "matter" in the arena of talk radio, but -- on balance, I find Charles Goyette worth listening to and Michael Savage pretty much an irritating waste of my time.

WakeUp Call: Where Is Darren Daulton Now?

I woke up this morning, thinking "Where is Darren Daulton now?"

I do not know why the ex-Phillies catcher popped into my consciousness nor why I wanted to know where he was. I thought about the partying Phils back in the day and maybe I expected to find some of what I did find when I entered the following into Google: "Where is Darren Daulton now?"

Of course, all of the top items on the Google list were about his epiphanies and and his history of drug, alcohol and wife abuse and the oft-rendered opinion that Daulton is crazy.

Imagine how I felt?

I believe in simultaneous parallel dimensions, soul travel and the vanishing ability of energy.

So, I'm crazy, too, I guess. Like Dutch, I don't care what people think of me.

More on this later. I gotta go (somewhere you wouldn't comprehend).
